Non Traditional Opportunities to Consider for Enhancing Student's Clinical Education.

Many schools experienced decreases in student clinical productivity during the pandemic. It is incumbent upon dental schools to provide quality clinical experiences for their students, but if patients are not coming to the school, what should they do? Learn, how we doubled our student’s restorative procedures, tripled the surgical experiences and increased endodontic services by 70%, with a cost off-set model that included Dental Support Organizations (DSOs). Recent information from the American Dental Association shows 30% of all graduates seek employment opportunities with DSOs after graduation and 10% of all dentists in private practices are converting to this model annually.
