Racism persists with limited outcomes from traditional diversity programs in academia. This interactive session will highlight antiracism practices advocated by the American Association of Public Health Dentistry's published white paper and Journal of Public Health Dentistry special issue. The presenters will discuss strategies to integrate justice and equity in dental public health curricula for allied and dental students/residents. The panelists will describe model education initiatives and faculty/staff development programs overcoming biases and featuring oral health equity. The presenters will identify approaches that enhance cultural competency education and stress the impacts of oral health policies on structural, social, and commercial determinants.
