Digital technology such as intraoral scanners and 3D printers have become staples of many clinical workflows in dentistry! In dental education, limited budgets and faculty resistance have affected the integration of this technology. In this session, three dental schools will share how they have overcome these obstacles and shaped the next generation of future practitioners. Through a united vision of integrating digital dentistry into the curriculum, presenters will highlight opportunities and challenges of implementation. Participants will learn strategies to enhance student learning and self-assessment; encourage faculty engagement in technology integration and development. Despite the odds, digital dentistry integration is possible.
