Complainers, rabble-rousers, troublemakers, curmudgeons. What if instead of trying to muzzle these voices, you were able to harness this critical energy to work with your vision? Can mindsets be shifted to see complainers, misfits, and black sheep as agents of change and innovation? Learners will discover how to create constructive energy from these individuals.
Every educational organization has black sheep who can either be a source of innovative energy or a source of negativity and frustration. Learners will recognize that shifting black sheep to constructive rebels requires leaders to be open to criticism, intellectually curious, and transparent.
Learning Objectives:
Identify complainers within their organizations and what they are trying to disrupt.
List the characteristics of a constructive rebel.
Describe how to motivate rebels in a direction that is aligned with the organization’s and/or educator’s mission.
