Evidence has shown that a key component of professional identity development is self-awareness. The focus of this workshop is to describe how to use DiSC assessments to help students find their professional and personal paths after dental school. This workshop provides: 1) An overview of DiSC and how it can be used to discuss professional identity and path, 2) An interactive opportunity for attendees to take a DiSC assessment and use this knowledge to explore their own motivations and purpose driven leadership, and 3) A group discussion to practice using DiSC on simulated student profiles to advise and guide students.
