The basis of this submission is the application of forensic odontology to current dental and hygiene curriculum to prepare students on the possible outcomes or impact dentistry can have on a patient’s life. The discussion for this session is to demonstrate an association between forensic odontology and the required comprehension and application of basic sciences and dental education. The focus here will be on individual course content and three criteria, a student should meet to understand the impact of their chosen careers, specifically in the areas cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills.
