Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are essential to health care education. In today’s changing world, sensitivity towards DEIB should be a core competency for healthcare providers, to ensure that opportunities are cultivated for future healthcare providers to recognize their own biases, and to become and remain sensitive to DEIB. Effectively designing, framing, and assessing DEIB towards making impactful changes are common barriers in successful implementation. This session will highlight best practices from integrated curricula and service-learning opportunities. Clinical and biomedical science faculty, as well as behavioral and community health educators will share experiences and lead reflection and discussion.
