Dr.Gerald Rosen has been Assistant Professor, the University of Rochester Eastman Institute of Oral Health for almost 50 years. His pediatric practice was mostly behavior management based and some conscious sedation. He taught at NYU prior to relocating to Rochester where he aquired his certificate in pediatric dentistry. He has lectured, had newspaper columns, and has appeared on TV. He spent two years in the U.S.Navy as a general dentist and was awarded a Naval Commendation for saving the life of a fellow officer. He then practiced general dentistry in Manhattan while teaching at NYU with Harold Addelston who first published the technique of "tell-show-do" in the dental literature. He has lectured on pediatric dental management and practice management at the Eastman Dental Center and at dental meetings nationally. His articles have been published in the Journal of Dentistry for Children and ....... This seminar has many innovative new ideas and techniques using behavior management tools in a more effective manner. He will also discuss ways to control crying children who are gaggers and resistant to treatment. You will learn how to interpret crying and how to communicate with a child having a tantrum without drugs.
