Dr. Vishnu Reddy is a PGY-2 Pediatric Dentistry resident at UCLA.
Dr. Reddy was born in Michigan and grew up in Hyderabad, India. After high school, he moved to Salt Lake City, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2015. Dr. Reddy then moved to New York City, where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from NYU in 2019. After dental school, he did a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Woodhull Medical Center, a public hospital in Brooklyn and worked for a year as a general dentist in Western Massachusetts. During these years, he realized his passion for working with children and began rumina ting on the many ways in which public health initiatives and policies can effectively bridge the gaps in dental care for children and adolescents.
Dr. Reddy is concurrenlty pursuing a Master's of Public Health (M.P.H.) along with his Pediatric Dentistry Residency at UCLA. His research on “Association Between Pediatric Dental Restorative Procedures and Their Longitudinal Survival” won first place in the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry (CSPD) Annual Meeting poster competition. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and taking scenic hikes.
