Nida Ashraf DMD is a PGY2 Pediatric Dentistry graduate student at University of Michigan. Nida grew up in Montreal, Canada. She recieved her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from McGill University, Montreal. During dental school, she enjoyed volunteering her time to help the underserved communities while delivering dental care at the mobile outreach clinics, organizing oral health sessions at the women’s shelter, and clothing drives for refugees. She earned her certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentsitry from the University of Connecticut Health Center in Connecticut, where she gained experience in complex dental treatment, dental emergencies, trauma, and hospital based special needs care. Nida worked in a community dental clinic and a paediatric dentistry practice for 1.5 years before finding her passion for children's oral health and moving to Michigan in 2021, where she began her training in pediatric dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys trying out new recipes, spending time with her toddler Harris, and exploring the nature.
