Amira Omar, DMD, PGY2-Pediatric Resident, NYU Langone-Rhode Island
Dr. Amira Omar was born in Egypt and moved to the United States with her family at the age of three. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York with her three siblings. Amira was an avid learner and quickly excelled in her studies. At the age of 18, Amira studied abroad and attended dental school in Alexandria, Egypt. It was a memorable experience where Amira not only became a dentist but fluent in the Arabic language as well.
Soon after graduation Amira moved back to the United States and attended dental school for the second time at Boston University, where she earned her DMD degree. Amira graduated at the top of her class and her love of dentistry only grew. It was at Boston University and while volunteering at the Special Olympics that Amira discovered her love for pediatric dentistry.
As this year is quickly coming to an end, Amira is that much closer to fulfilling her dream of becoming a pedodontist! Dr. Omar enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two boys. Life is busy, but Dr. Omar would not have it any other way!
