Professor, Pediatrics Dentistry. Dr. Salama received his Pediatric Dentistry Certificate at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Salama is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Academy of Dentistry International. Dr. Salama has been Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, Director of the Pediatric Dentistry Residency, Vice Chair, and Chair in several institutions.
Dr. Salama has won numerous honors and awards and over the years he has served in positions of responsibility at the national and international levels. He served as a consultant and examiner of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and as a site visitor of Commission on Dental Accreditation as well as served in the Editorial Board of the Pediatric Dentistry Journal for several years. He served as an ad hoc reviewer for many journals including Pediatric Dentistry Journal, Journal of Dental Education, General Dentistry Journal, Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry, etc.
Dr. Salama passion is to serve dental students, dental hygiene students, residents, postgraduate students, and interns as a faculty and mentor with extensive experience. He has broad involvement in different types of research (laboratory, clinical, survey, animals, etc.) with predoctoral students, interns, postgraduate students, residents, and thesis supervision. He had published over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals, presented more than 250 abstracts and table clinics. He presented more than 70 national and international scientific and professional presentations as well as continuing education courses.
