NYU Langone-Casa Grand site, Arizona
Ru Guo (Annie) Yang is a PGY2 pediatric dental resident at NYU Langone-Case Grande, AZ site. Annie was born in China and raised in New York State.
When visiting a dentist when she was young, she remembered how one of the dentists greeted her with a gorgeous diamond smile. It wasn’t just his white straight pearly smile that intrigued her; the dentist had actual diamond stickers on his teeth! It struck her to the core and her love of going to the dentist has grown since then. After her amiable dental experiences, she wanted to be in the position to deliver dental care to kids like her young self in the community.
Annie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Buffalo. She pursued her dream of becoming a dentist at Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine. With her passion in pediatric dentistry, she continued her studies through a general residency program at Oklahoma University, the Children’s Hospital. It was there that she treated a wide spectrum of pediatric patients from those with special needs to the medically compromised. The program provided a great start to her journey into pediatric dentistry, and soon she will be completing her advanced training at the NYU-Langone-Case Grande, Arizona site.
After completing her pediatric residency, Annie will be staying in Arizona to continue providing oral health care to the young generations. She is looking forward to mission trips in the future and providing oral health in communities around the world. Besides the dental clinic, you can find her on a tennis court, a hiking trail, or in the gym. In fact, her goal is to visit all the National Parks in the United States!
