Dr. Malka Ashkenazi completed her dental studies at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel in 1979.
In 1987, she completed her residency in pediatric dentistry with honors at Tel Aviv University. Immediately after that, she went to post-doctoral studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, Texas, USA. In 2008, she was promoted to senior lecturer in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Ashkenazi guided dozens of students in the completion of their doctoral theses. For this, she received many grants. She published about 80 scientific articles, lectured at international conferences and serves as a reviewer for many journals around the world.
In 2012 she was trained in England in performing autotransplantation in children. In the past, she served as the chairman of the audit committee and the chairman of the Israeli Association for Pediatric Dentistry, and as Israel’s representative in the European Association for Pediatric Dentistry. Currently, she is the director of the post-graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry at Sheba Medical Center, Israel.
