Mrs. Dina Hamdy, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health, Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
I come originally from Egypt, and I am now completing my expertise in the field of pediatric dentistry in Germany. I was graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University in 2009. Afterwards, I completed a 3-year residence program at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health in the same university. During my residency I successfully attained a master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health in 2015. Since then, I work as a full-time pediatric dentist with the mission to change the perception of children for dentistry through providing a stress-free treatment environment.
My research interests include but are not limited to, minimally invasive techniques, preventive dentistry, caries arrest, and advances in restorative and adhesive techniques in deciduous teeth. My previous research work included studies about probiotics, silver diamine fluoride and adhesives in pediatric dentistry.
Among my publications are ‘Laboratory evaluation of the potential masking of color changes produced by silver diamine fluoride in primary molars ‘, as well as ‘Effect of conditioning on microtensile bond strength of universal adhesives to primary enamel’.
