Dr. Virtue Omere is a Pediatric Dental Resident at the NYU Langone Pediatric Dentistry program in Massachusetts. Originally from Nigeria, she has always been passionate about dentistry and improving access to oral healthcare for underserved populations. Dr. Omere earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from a top-ranked dental school in Nigeria before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in the United States. Through her education and training, she has honed her expertise in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Omere is a strong advocate for pediatric oral health and has made significant efforts in this regard. Her unwavering commitment to advocacy was recently demonstrated during her visit to Washington DC, where she participated in the AAPD Advocacy Conference. During her visit, she met with several congressional offices and lobbied for the prioritization of pediatric oral health issues. Dr. Omere's dedication to eliminating oral health disparities and ensuring access to high-quality oral healthcare for every child is truly remarkable. She strives to create awareness of the importance of oral health in children and is always looking for ways to make a positive impact. Her relentless pursuit of this goal is evident in her work, both in and out of the clinic.
Aside from her work in the dental field, Dr. Omere enjoys spending time with her loving family. She is happily married and often goes on vacations with her family to explore new destinations and create unforgettable memories. Dr. Omere is an outstanding role model for aspiring healthcare professionals, and her passion and dedication serve as an inspiration to those around her.
