PGY-2 Resident

Dr. Matthew Palmer, DDS is a second-year pediatric dental resident at the DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. After high school he graduated with his Bachelor’s from the University of Utah before moving to Nova Scotia, Canada in pursuit of a dental degree. Dr. Matt graduated from Dalhousie University's dentistry program then decided to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of New Mexico where he developed a passion for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Matt then completed a pediatric dental service fellowship at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry before moving to Detroit to start his pediatric dental residency.
Dr. Matt is married and has four kids, two girls ages 8 and 5, two boys ages 3 and 4 months. Keeping his extremely active son out of trouble has become his passion. When he is not enjoying his daughters' piano playing and singing, he is exercising at the gym or playing his guitar and piano.
Dr. Matt hopes to become a Board Certified Pediatric Dental Specialist so he can provide the best dental care for your infants, children, and teens. After residency, he plans to move back to Utah to be closer to family and friends.
