Jill Brodsky, MD, MBA
Jill Brodsky, MD, MBA is a Medical Director, Director of Physician Recruitment, Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, and pediatric endocrinologist with Optum. Dr. Brodsky completed her residency in pediatrics at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital followed by a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Since 2016, she has served as an Executive Committee Member in the Section on Endocrinology for The American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2019, Dr. Brodsky completed a MBA in Health Care management from Johns Hopkins University. She is an active participant in the Optum National Clinical Leadership Congress and is a founding member of the Optum National Women in Medicine Council. Dr. Brodsky serves as Medical Director for Setebaid Services, a non-profit organization that provides overnight camp programs for children with Type 1 diabetes. Most pertinent to this session, and one of her favorite projects, has been her collaboration with The Culinary Institute of America to pilot “After School Chef” to educate adolescents with pre-diabetes and Type 2 diabetes regarding food selection and preparation to promote improved nutrition.
