You do everything you can for your patients for the two hours they are in your practice annually. What happens the other 8,758 hours defines their oral health? Your educational and motivational words and the products you recommend make a big difference. At-home dispensing of prevention products for moderate to high caries risk patients is a team sport. The clinical staff assesses risk, with parent/guardian communications handled by those same staff members, or front desk personnel. Either way, communication consistency is key to program success and patient compliance. Hayley will provide and walk through available tools that assist this conversation, along with guidance for CDT coding, suggested retail pricing strategies, bundling strategies with in-office treatments like fluoride varnish and motivational interviewing tips that lead to greater case acceptance and more positive patient outcomes.
