Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Syndrome (OSAS) is a public health concern, representing a true challenge. This condition can disturb children's growth, and can lead to significant complications, affecting children's quality of life. OSAS is indeed a complex desease. Malocclusion and maxillofacial abnormalities have been associated with pediatric OSAS, which recognizes different risk factors; there is a strong association between some clinical signs/symptoms and OSAS. Pediatric dentists may encounter and intercept OSAS cases, contributing in the diagnosis and treatment process.
