Preserving dental anatomy and facing with sensitivity in MIH affected teeth is nowadays still very challenging; particularly in type 2b (moderate, with loss of substance) and in type 3 (severe). Therefore, a prompt and proper managing of the situation ad interim, before final restoration, is required: a new temporary "medicament" can work for saving tooth structure and sensitivity. The use of a new light-curing varnish allows a fast sensitivity relief and a suitable coating that preserves the remaining tooth structure before final restoration.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe MIH moderate type, class B and MIH severe type.
Upon completion, participant will be able to treat MIH affected teeth with loss of substance with a new light curing varnish.
Upon completion, participant will be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of a double step approach in MIH affected teeth.
