How do dental trainees learn to diagnose dental caries from bitewing radiographs, and what is the best way to support their learning? A novel online platform developed at The Hospital for Sick Children and The University of Toronto provides valuable insight into these important educational questions, and can assist dental educators in tailoring their curricula to meet their students' current experience level and improve this vital skill.
