Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are more than buzz words, they are values that inform the kind environment you provide your staff and patients. There are meaningful ways of creating this type of culture and there are superficial ways, and everyone will be able to feel the difference. Attendees are invited to participate in a dynamic session that offers creative, practical, and effective ways of enhancing a practice that welcomes and respects everyone who works and receives care there.
Learning Objectives:
Define terms that relate to the culture of an inclusive practice such as implicit bias, microaggressions, equity, etc.
Identify and address behaviors that contribute to or detract from an inclusive practice.
Successfully address insensitive remarks, behaviors or other exculsionary practices in a way that maintains relationships and strengthens a positive work environment.
