An evidence-based discussion of the management of odontogenic infection in the pediatric patient. How do we evaluate these patients? What clinical manifestations require hospitalization vs outpatient management? What are the modalities we use for treating patients with varying degrees of infection? This lecture will include a brief review of different manifestations of odontogenic infections and provide a framework for the dental provider to follow for identification and management of patients suffering from dental infections.
