Dr. Paul Helpard is CEO and founder of Corus Orthodontists, an OSO formed in October 2019. Prior to starting Corus, Paul was the principal orthodontist of Shoreline Orthodontics, a 5-office group of practices where he honed his skills as a business leader. Paul began his dental career in 1991 as a dental officer in the Canadian Armed Forces and subsequently became an orthodontist and has held numerous leadership and teaching positions during his career.
Dr. Helpard is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, an examiner for the RCDC, and a member of the Angle Society. He holds an undergraduate science degree from Western University, a dental degree from McGill University and a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa. Paul was recently awarded the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022 with a Special Citation for Emerging Entrepreneur in Prairies.
