Dr. Renato Parsekian Martins lives in Brazil where he is happily married to his wife and has two little girls. He studied as a kid in Plano, Texas for two years living with his parents, both orthodontists, and teachers, and also completed a Post Doc at Baylor for almost one year and a half, where he worked closely with Dr. Peter Buschang. Currently, he works in his orthodontic office, and is also a part-time Adjunct Faculty at the Araraquara School of Dentistry, where he teaches in the Orthodontics Program. He has also lectured extensively to orthodontists in Latin America and has spoken in the last 5 national Brazilian orthodontic meetings and in 2017, at the AAO. Besides those activities, he is the associate editor of the two most respected Brazilian orthodontics journals, the Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics and the Revista Clinica de Ortodontia Dental Press (Clinical Orthodontics), where he has written extensively about biomechanics pearls in almost every edition.
