The lecture will cover the results of a systematic review of randomized controlled trials focusing on skeletal, dental, and upper airway outcomes in patients undergoing to surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion (SARME) with different osteotomies: pterygomaxillary disjunction (SARME+PD; SARME-PD), and segmental Le Fort I osteotomy (2-pieces; 3-pieces).
Learning Objectives:
After this lecture, attendees will be able to:

To discuss the skeletal, dental, and upper airway outcomes of SARME with or without pterygomaxillary disjunction.
To discuss the skeletal, dental, and upper airway outcomes of SARME with 2-pieces or 3-pieces Le Fort I osteotomy.
