Clear aligners can be effective in the treatment of anterior open bite because occlusal coverage provides a mechanical advantage over fixed appliances in terms of vertical dimension control. However, the treatment outcome and stability of anterior open bite correction using clear aligners have not been reported with sufficient sample size. This presentation aims to report on the outcome and stability of nonextraction anterior open bite treatment with clear aligners in adults and to investigate factors that might influence stability.
Learning Objectives:
After this lecture, attendees will be able to:
Evaluate the outcome of the anterior open bite treatment with clear aligners.
Assess the stability of the anterior open bite treatment with clear aligners.
Identify predictors of relapse after anterior open bite treatment with clear aligners.
