Esthetics has been a major concern for orthodontic patients. The introduction of aligners was a major leap in the esthetic world of orthodontics. A series of preformed thermoplastic splints are worn by patients and sequentially changed according to treatment plan to move tooth/teeth in three dimensions. There are many commercially available aligner systems in the market for the clinicians. This lecture will focus on outcomes and problems associated with major aligner systems available commercially.
Learning Objectives:
After this lecture, attendees will be able to:
Outline predictable outcomes associated with different commercially available aligners.
Gain an in-depth analysis of aligner materials with different commercially available aligners.
Assess the problems associated with commercially available aligners.
