As an early adopter my entire professional career, this presentation will touch briefly past innovations, both the good and the not-so-good, and how they influenced my clinical practice. We will identify why we adopt innovative technologies and how we measure their effectiveness. Do we adopt for practice promotion, enhance patient outcomes and/or greater comfort for the doctor and/or patient? And finally, with the influx of rapidly developing technologies, how do you make future decisions that will affect our practice, our patients and our profession.
