Serial extraction has been of interest to dentists for many years. Different pioneers have given different sequences for following the guidance of occlusion. However, no clear anchorage consideration has been discussed, as the majority of the serial extraction treatment was performed with the allowance of molar mesial drift. In the current presentation, several cases will be discussed with the anchorage consideration and space regaining by molar distalization during serial extraction.
Learning Objectives:
After this lecture, attendees will be able to:
Review the basic concept of serial extraction.
Reconsider the anchorage design during serial extraction.
Observe atypical extraction design of serial extraction.
