Dento-skeletal Class III malocclusion in growing children remains one of the most challenging problems in orthodontics. Early treatment has been widely discussed in the literature mainly due to the uncertainly of stable long-term results. However, aesthetics and psychological issues represent the key points of its rationale. Several alternatives have been developed for treating at an early stage. This presentation will focus on the SEC III protocols composed by Splints, Class III Elastics, and Chincup. The efficacy and benefits will be analyzed as well as the aesthetic outcomes and the long-term stability will be discussed.
