31 out of 55 eligible former Class II patients (18 II:1, 13 II:2) who underwent Herbst and subsequent multibracket appliance treatment as young adults (age ≥ 18 years or age ≥ 16 years and skeletal growth completed according to handwrist radiographs) attended the recall 19.8±3.6 years after treatment which had started at an average age of 21.8±7.3 years. A clinical examination was performed to assess oral health and impressions were taken to obtain study casts. The long-term effects on occlusion respectively outcome quality (in terms of standard variables like overjet, overbite, sagittal molar relationship, PAR score) as well as oral health will be presented.
