Dr. Shanker Iyer is a past president of the AAID and is currently a clinical assistant professor in the departments of PG Periodontics, PG prosthodontics, and Rutgers University in New Jersey. Dr. Iyer was the program chair for several AAID annual conferences. He is also the course director of the AAID MaxiCourse Asia— Abu Dhabi, and Bangalore-as well as co-director of the Rutgers University, Nova South Eastern Univerity, Roseman University and Egypt MaxiCourses. He was a trustee for the AAID Northeastern District from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Iyer is a Diplomate in the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, a Fellow in the AAID, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Oral Implantology. He is a fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Iyer has conducted courses and made presentations in more than 30 countries and has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
