Managing dental implants in the esthetic zone is one of the most challenging and demanding treatments in implant dentistry. Whether you are placing implants freehand or through guided surgery, it is important to evaluate the hard and soft tissues for predictable esthetic results. This presentation highlights different types of guided versus free-hand implant surgeries. Emphasis will be placed on creating a stable periodontal foundation and developing the correct emergence profile through implant provisionalization. Multiple clinical scenarios will be discussed with emphasis on restorative-periodontal perspectives to obtain implant esthetics with a natural harmonious smile.
