Dr. Anil Kishen is a Professor of Endodontics, at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. He has a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering. He has authored numerous papers on fracture predilection of root filled teeth and dentin biomechanics. He has published innovative work on the dental applications of chitosan nanoparticles and has previously reported on their beneficial properties such as dentin matrix stabilization, biocompatibility and antibacterial effects. His expertise and extensive research experience are a valuable asset to the study. He has significant experience in development of models on host microbial interactions, dentin remineralisation, 3D scaffolds for endodontic regeneration. He is the principal supervisor for the present study.
