Dr. Malek received his certificate in the specialty of endodontics from NYU Dentistry in 2011.He is a recipient of the Arthur Charles Hull and Samuel and Hannah Holzman Award for showing the greatest proficiency in Endodontics and the recipient of the NYU Academy of Distinguished Educator Award in 2014.
Dr. Malek is a Diplomate of the American Association of Endodontics. He is currently the Director of the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at NYU and practices endodontics in private practice in Manhattan, New York.
He is involved with several research projects which focus on pain, Regenerative Endodontics, and Invasive Cervical Resorption of the root which he has the most interest. He lectures frequently to local, national, and international communities on these topics and is currently involved with few clinical research projects on the subject of Invasive Cervical Resorption and Regenerative Endodontics. Dr. Malek is the faculty winner of the Foundation of Endodontics Spring 2022 Competitive Research Proposal for his research on Invasive Cervical Resorption. Dr. Malek is the author/co-author of several peer-review articles and chapters in prominent endodontic journals and text books.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 28.5 continuing education credits.
