Dr. José Siqueira received his DDS in 1989, and his endodontic certificate in 1992, a Master’s Degree and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology in 1996 and 1998, respectively, all in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is currently Adjunct Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry at the Grande Rio University, in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. He is also the Head of the Dental Research Group, Faculty of Dentistry, Iguaçu University, Nova Iguaçu, RJ, Brazil. Dr. Siqueira has authored the books “Treatment of Endodontic Infections” and "Endodontology: an integrated biological and clinical view", and other 9 books about Endodontics or Microbiology in Portuguese. He also authored or co-authored several chapters for leading international endodontic textbooks as well as more than 420 scientific papers. Dr. Siqueira has received several international awards including the prestigious Louis I. Grossman Awards from the American Association of Endodontists in 2014 and the French Endodontic Society in 2012, for cumulative publication of significant research studies that have made an extraordinary contribution to endodontics. He served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Endodontics from 2006 to 2008. His primary research interests are in the area of endodontic microbiology and infection control. He is actively lecturing on endodontics worldwide.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 28.5 continuing education credits. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ada.org/cerp.
