Ms. Kayson is Vice President of Clinical Operations for the Huntington Study Group Clinical Research Inc. (HSGCR) where she leads clinical trial operations in Huntington Disease (HD) and advises industry partners on protocol design and logistics. She has more than 25 years’ experience in global pharmaceutical research, both commercial and academic including several NIH supported studies. Ms. Kayson has led and managed over 50 clinical trials (including virtual/remote/hybrid and direct to patient platforms) operationally and administratively for HD, Parkinson’s Disease (PD), and other rare disorders. She played a key role in the pivotal trials that resulted in the only two FDA-approved drugs for HD. Ms. Kayson was instrumental in the design and planning of the first tele-visit clinical trial in PD and with an investigational product in HD. Most recently she was involved in the designing and planning of a reliability study comparing the use of the gold standard HD assessment tool for in-person compared to telehealth use. She was one of the HSG founding members and most recently, HSG co-chair. Prior to that, at the University of Rochester, she served as the Director of Clinical and Strategic Initiatives, Director of Project Management in the Center for Health + Technology (CHeT), Assistant Professor of Nursing, New York State licensed Nurse Practitioner and currently is a Department of Neurology Adjunct Faculty member. Ms. Kayson brings a unique perspective and practical experience in design and conduct of clinical trials and translational research in both public and private sectors.
