Dr. Fabricio Teixeira is Professor, Chair, and Program Director in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Iowa. He served as Director of the Advanced Education Program at the UT San Antonio, where he obtained his Certificate in Endodontics. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the State University of Campinas, where he served as an Associate Professor. Before moving to Texas, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the UNC at Chapel Hill and still maintains an appointment as an adjunct faculty. Dr. Teixeira is a Diplomate of ABE and continues to serve as Past-Director. He is the Secretary of the IADT and CODA-Commissioner for the AAE. He is a member of the OKU, Fellow of the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. Dr. Teixeira served as Associate Editor of Endodontic Topics for over nine years and holds a position on the Scientific Advisory Board of JOE. He is actively involved in clinical research and has lectured nationally and internationally on several topics in his specialty. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and textbook chapters. He also maintains a private practice limited to endodontics in Iowa City.
