Post-Graduate Director of Endodontics, Assistant Professor
Louisiana State University
I am a 1987 graduate of the LSU School of Dentistry and a 1989 graduate of the endodontic residency program at LSUSD. During my residency , I completed a research project on the" Effect of Endodontic Access Preparation Upon the Retention of a PFM Crown on a Maxillary Central Incisor".
I presented different aspects of this research at AAE, ADA, and IADR meetings between 1988 and 1991. In 1993, I became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. From 1989- 2013, I was in the solo private practice of endodontics in Monroe, LA. During that time, I held numerous offices in organized dentistry on a local, state, and national level. The LSU School of Dentistry awarded me the "Alumnus of the Year Award" in 2006. My local and state dental associations awarded me with a "Distinguished Service Awards in 2015. After an untimely hunting accident forced my early retirement from practice in 2013, I began teaching at LSUSD(Endodontics) and ULM(Dental hygiene) part-time. In 2020, I became post-graduate director of Endodontics at LSUSD(New Orleans) . I have been married to my lovely wife, Joanna, since 1984. We have two wonderful daughters, Anna (attorney) and Mary (CPA).
