Dr. Teresa Capristo is a native of Titusville, Pennsylvania. In May 2008, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Gannon University. She earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from West Virginia University in May 2012 and directly commissioned into the United States Navy. Dr. Capristo completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program from James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in July 2013. She was stationed on the USS GERMANTOWN LSD 42 homeported in Sasebo, Japan, Naval Medical Center San Diego, Naval Branch Health Clinic Bahrain, and Naval Branch Health Clinic Washington Navy Yard during her ten years of active duty service. Additionally, she completed a Masters in Business Administration from San Diego State University and was awarded Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry while on active duty. She is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association. Currently, Dr. Capristo is a first-year endodontics resident at the University of Pittsburgh Dental School of Medicine and a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Reserves at Naval Reserve Center Pittsburgh.
