Dr. Moss is Associate Professor at the ECU School of Dental Medicine. He also holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Public Health in the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Mark joined ECU in 2017. He serves as Director of the Division of Dental Public Health at ECU.
A native of Wisconsin, he received his dental degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee (1984), and an MS in Preventive Medicine/Epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison (1991). He then made his way to North Carolina and completed a PhD in Epidemiology at the School of Public Health (1994) at UNC-Chapel Hill. He completed a Dental Public Health Residency at the Bureau of Dental Health in the New York State Department of Health. In 2019 he became a diplomate in the American Board of Dental Public Health.
