Simona Surdu is a Project Director at the Center for Health Workforce Studies located at the University at Albany, State University of New York. With a background as a medical doctor and 15 years of experience in health sciences, Dr. Surdu has contributed to the development and implementation of epidemiologic studies supported by the US National Institute of Health, the European Union, the World Health Organization, among others. Dr. Surdu has worked for the Center for Health Workforce Studies for over a decade and her current research involves comprehensive studies of oral health in various states, including the evaluation of oral health needs, delivery of oral health services, and access and utilization of oral health services, particularly for underserved populations.
