Dr. Marvellous Akinlotan is a Dental Public Health resident at the CDC Division of Oral Health. In addition to her dental and master’s in public health training, she received a PhD in Health Services Research from Texas A&M University. Dr. Akinlotan has conducted research and contributed to the literature in the areas of oral health, rural health, and maternal and child health. Before beginning her dental public health residency at the CDC, Dr. Akinlotan was a Research Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M University College of Nursing and a Research Associate with the Southwest Rural Health Research Center.
