Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine
Labrini I. Nelligan serves as Executive Director of the Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine, a program of Massachusetts General Hospital. Labrini has served as a principal on Lunder-Dineen since the inception of the program in 2012 and has led the development of this first-of-its-kind program between an academic medical center and neighboring state.
Guided by Labrini’s leadership, Lunder Dineen designs, develops, launches and evaluates interprofessional, blended learning health education programs. These programs are selected to address identified public health, workforce and health disparity needs impacting residents across the state of Maine. Signature programs include: the Maine Nursing Preceptor Education Program, the MOTIVATE program on oral health for older adults and the Time to Ask program on unhealthy alcohol use. Labrini oversees all business operations of Lunder-Dineen including direct management of all staff, outreach, financial and administrative operations, marketing and communications, as well as other relations to key stakeholders.
In 2022, Labrini was appointed Co-Chair of the Education Resources & Community Affairs Committee of the newly established Peter L. Slavin, MD Academy for Applied Learning in Health Care at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Labrini’s background includes both hospital-based development and political campaign fundraising. Labrini holds a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University and a M.S. in Political Science from Suffolk University.
