Lisa J. Heaton, PhD is a Science Writer for the Analytics and Data Insights team at CareQuest Institute for Oral Health. In her role, Lisa collaborates with internal and external partners to produce materials focused on issues related to the expansion of access to oral health care for historically underserved populations, the intersection of oral and overall health, and the integration of dental and medical health care.A clinical psychologist by training, Lisa was a faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry for over 15 years, providing clinical care and didactic instruction, and conducting research in dental anxiety and oral health disparities.
