Associate Professor/Dental Public Health Resident

Tiffany E. Wilson DDS, MPH, FICD is Associate Professor in the Department of Dental Public Health at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry as well as a dental public health resident at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Jacobi Site. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology graduating Magna Cum Laude from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry.
Following the completion of her DDS degree, Dr. Wilson received a general practice residency certificate in Hospital Dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN and a Master of Public Health degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention where she completed a 10-week internship in pediatric oral health disparities at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
For the last 13 years, Dr. Wilson has worked in both academic and clinical settings in Tennessee, California, and Indiana. In her Associate Professor role, she currently provides didactic and clinical training to dental students at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in various capacities including being the lead attending for the teledentistry rotation that provides pre-screening, caries risk assessment, tobacco cessation, and nutritional counseling to patients from underserved areas of Tennessee. In her dental public health resident role, she participates in residency training activities including spearheading the Burt and Eklund Conference Call Seminar Series (Jacobi Medical Center) in addition to research and interactive seminars aimed to fulfill competency through the American Board of Dental Public Health (ABDPH).
Dr. Wilson is the 2021 co-recipient of the Covid-19 Vaccination (CoVAC) Mini-Grant through the American College Health Association, 2022 AAPHD Small Grant Co-Recipient, member of the Class of 2022-2023 ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership, and a member of the 2022-2023 AIDPH Leadership Academy.
