Oral Health Educator

Kate Christiansen RDH, IPDH, BA is the Oral Health Educator for Maine CDC/DHHS. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist, Independent Practice Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistant, with a combined 16 years of clinical experience. She received an Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene from Quinsigamond Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Assumption College, both in Worcester, Massachusetts. Kate has a particular interest in increasing Maine’s capacity to examine and improve children’s oral health and population health, recognizing the important connection between oral health and overall health, as well as the systemic relationship between social determinant status and health outcomes for Maine families.
