Description: Dental health is the number one unmet health need of people with disabilities. We will discuss the needs, barriers, and challenges of adults with disabilities and their caregivers in seeking dental health care. We will also discuss solutions to such needs. Discover how community health workers and dental hygienists can work together to serve people with disabilities in their homes to improve oral health and prepare them for treatment in a dental office.
